Nissan Announce Special Edition N-Tec

Nissan have just announced the new Nissan Juke N-Tec Special Edition at The Geneva Motor Show 2013.

The New special edition N-Tec Juke is based on the Acenta model with some very cool added extras. The N-Tec comes with 18” black on silver alloy rims which match the gloss black mirror caps and the pillar to partition the front and back windows.

Inside the Juke, it has been fitted with a 5.8” colour touchscreen which as you’d expect it has satellite navigation and Bluetooth connectivity. However it does have something new cars can expect to see more often…

A new Google App for smart phones called Send to Car allows you to choose a destination on your mobile device and when your phone syncs up with car the route appears on your sat nav. So you can plot your journey on your mobile then jump in your car and it will automatically pick up the route and destination.
The Nissan Juke N-Tec also features Nissan’s unqiue Dynamic Control System. This allows the driver to change a number of things via a small panel on the dash. On the fly you can change driving style like sport, eco or standard as well as changing driving position and climate control.

Nissan seem very pleased at their new N-Tec spec and its likely we will see this car in Nissan showrooms across the UK soon.

The Award Winning Juke, The Lowdown

The British made Nissan Juke, is the perfect blend of SUV and super mini, with its strikingly designed bumpers, 370z boomerang inspired rear lights and coupé-like shaped body, it certainly is making the Nissan Juke a real head turner, guaranteed to stand out in any environment. The Juke crossover is available in the standard front wheel drive, but the elevated suspension makes it great to handle in the 4 wheel drive version.

The Juke has been built for practicality and although the boot space is not the largest, the back seats fold down completely flat, creating additional boot space when needed, plus there’s a secret under floor storage area too. The raised driving position is an appealing feature of the Juke, as it makes the car feel bigger, giving a commanding view of the road making city driving and negotiating the speed bumps a doddle. Plus the generous wing mirrors mean that you get superb all round visibility, perfect for parking.

Nissan have not neglected the interior of the Juke either, as its bold design is carried throughout the whole vehicle, with the central console designed to echo a motor bike fuel tank and the raised gear stick giving a sporty feel, resulting in a car that is fun to drive. There’s enough room in the back for 2 normal sized adults, 3 at a squeeze, and has been design to keep you and your passengers safe. In fact the Nissan Juke has been awarded a 5 Euro Star NCAP safety award, which for those of you that don’t know is the highest safety award available for a vehicle.
All in all the Nisan Juke is a great crossover aimed at a wide audience and is available in an array of colours and spec:

Game into a Nissan Juke Nismo today!

We’ve been getting over excited about the release of the new Nissan Juke NISMO over the past few weeks (see previous posts). Part Dune buggy, part racing machine, It’s got the wow factor by the bucketload. It’s built for performance, packed with innovation and super tuned to the max with technology that’s been tested on the top tracks including Le Mans and the Super GT. If, like us, you just can’t wait until March when the first models will hit the road for a chance to play, then we have some great news for you!

In keeping with the technological pedigree, Nissan have teamed up with the technos at Gameloft to produce a virtual Nissan Juke Nismo which is already available to test out on a virtual track. The world’s best-selling mobile driving game, ‘Asphalt 7:Heat’ showcases the new Nismo as one of the pick of cars to put through the paces on the track.

Gareth Dunsmore, Marketing and Comms Manager at Nissan Europe, explained why they chose to give fans a chance to get behind the wheel in the game, pre real-world launch: ‘As the first in a new motorsport derived line, and including a number of tech and gaming inspired features (e.g. connecting to smartphones), it is a car that should appeal to gamers and social media users.’

So how close is it to driving the real deal? According to Nissan, gamers will ‘see that we have recreated the vehicle meticulously – from the power, handling and aerodynamics of the car to its design elements.’

There has been a huge increase of the number of customised Nissan Juke cars on our roads.

Ever since companies like Nismo and Cobra have been getting involved sprucing up the Juke it seems like everybody is getting involved!

Nissan have noticed this concept and they are set to release a new Nissan Juke customisation kit. But don’t worry you don’t have to be a petrol head and fit it yourself. Nissan have stated that these can be purchased as add-on accessories when you purchase a new Nissan Juke from an official Nissan Dealership.

Some time ago we published a blog post about the unveiling of the New Nissan Juke Nismo and how it was set to be the hottest hatchback in 2013.

Well we have driven the Nissan Juke Nismo and we can say that it is one hell of a car! The Nissan Juke Nismo we tested was the 1.6 Turbo Front Wheel Drive, manual.

Review

The Nissan Juke Nismo is, at the end of the day still a Nissan Juke, it’s really what’s going on under the hood that makes this car stand out from the rest.

Aesthetically the Juke Nismo looks the same as a standard Nissan Juke with a few exceptions. The body kit is different and the ride is slightly lower, as well as the Nismo branding on the rear and in the front grille. Also the sound is fantastic, from the 1.6 turbo engine. It has a sweet tone when the car hits high revs in low gears.

The Juke Nismo is noticeably faster than your standard Nissan Juke it’s about 200 bhp which is only 9 more than a standard Juke. However a standard Juke doesn’t come with a high performance tuned turbo. You can really feel the surge in acceleration from when the turbo kicks in, when your in 3^rd or 4^th gear!

Not only is it quick but it grips the road well too, with excellent stability control and a well build suspension and chassis to match. Taking sharp corners even at decent speeds, the Juke Nismo is more than capable of controlling.

We gave the Nissan Juke Nismo a 9/10 and given the competition of cars in this range around this price, its easily the best choice!

Nissan Juke Nismo – The Dark Knight Edition

Yet again we are seeing another limited edition Nissan Juke! This time Nissan felt that the release of the new Batman movie to DVD and Blu-ray was a good enough excuse to release their Dark Knight Rises Nissan Juke Nismo.

The Nissan Juke Dark Knight edition is actually just a Nissan Juke Nismo, under the hood it’s the exact same specification: it has a 1.6 four cylinder engine with 197 brake-horsepower. It has a 0 – 62 mph in 7.8 seconds. Admittedly it’s not as powerful as the Nissan Juke-R however this Nismo is a tuned Nissan Juke rather than a whole new type of model.

The Dark Knight Edition does have some very cool features though! On the interior it has small bat silhouettes on the headrests and on the dash. It also features two chrome bats on the exterior: one on the rear above the Nissan Juke Badge and one in the front grille.

The Dark Knight Rises is the 3rd and final installment of Christopher Nolan’s take on the Batman universe. It is set for release on DVD and Blu-ray on the 3rd of December, just in time for Christmas!

Nissan recently debut its brand new Nismo Performance brand at the 2012 Paris Motor Show.

Nismo is a Nissan motorsport brand which will now be used to identify affordable, yet advanced performance vehicles. Nissan chose the extremely popular Juke to debut the Nismo brand at the Paris Motor Show.

What’s New on the Juke Nismo?

Well for starters, the Juke Nismo looks more aggressive than the regular Juke. The front bumper has been redesigned so it has larger air intakes and longer LED running lights. The ‘Aero Package’ means that there are protruding side skirts, extended wheel arches, a modified grille and a large tailgate spoiler. Together, these improve the Juke Nismo’s stability at high speed.

The sporty, performance feel is also reflected inside the car with Suede covered sport seats with red stitching. The steering wheel, gear knob, gauges, pedals and door trims have all been re-designed and the red detail appears on the mirrors, together with a pinstripe on the lower body panels.

Performance

The Juke Nismo will have a turbocharged 1.6 litre direct-injection petrol engine, capable of 215bhp.The steering overhaul, redesigned bodywork with its improved aerodynamics, revised chassis and stiffer suspension promise to heighten and enhance the overall driving experience. It has also been given 18 inch alloy wheels with wider tyres to increase grip on the road which work in partnership with the air intakes and rear spoiler to reduce lift.

The Nissan Juke Nismo will be available in both 2 and 4 wheel drive, with the manual model capable of 62 mph in 8.2 seconds.

When can I buy one and why would I?

The Juke Nismo will be built in the UK alongside the regular Juke and is expected to go on sale in the UK in early 2013. With its unique design and styling, the Juke Nismo is in a league of its own, arguably with its own niche market. There really is no competition of you’re looking to buy a unique super-mini-crossover.

Nissan Juke Team Up With Ministry of Sound

A new limited edition of the Nissan Juke has recently been announced by Nissan and to promote the new model Nissan have set up a Nissan Juke Ministry of Sound stage at dance festival Creamfields 2012.

Nissan are set to produce approximately 3,000 of the limited edition Juke half of which will be metallic black and the other half solid white. It also comes with some very cool features, including an Apple iPod touch (8GB) which is full of Ministry of Sound goodness!

On the exterior of the vehicle the Nissan Juke does look the same as the Visia model, however there is a small Ministry of Sound insignia found on either side of the rear passenger window. Simply put the Nissan Juke Ministry of Sound edition has a number of added features and chrome which makes it a far better looking car than the standard Juke.
